HE'S GOT ME IN A TIZZY

Izzy is a big five year old now. Can't you tell with the temporary tattoo, black, chipped fingernail polish and hulk underwear on his head? He looks like he's ready for a Lollapalooza concert. Izzy thinks he is such a big boy now because he can read and spell. Last week he came down from upstairs and exclaimed,

"MOM!!! Leroy called me dumb."

Me: "Really?"

Izzy: "Yes! I can spell dumb. D-U-M-B!
Me: "Very good Izzy."
Izzy: "Guess what? Leroy also called me an ass."
Me: "Really?"
Izzy: "Yes! I can spell ass. A-S-S."
Me: "Wow! You are quite the speller."
Izzy: "You know what that means Mom?"
Me: "Um....that you are five and have a potty mouth?"
Izzy: "No! It means that I know how to spell DUMBASS!"

Then he gave me the biggest smile and proudly walked off knowing this was his first compound word.

I like how you just roll with it. Kinda deflates the impact that way :)

Bella's just NOW getting interested in spelling. I made up a song to spell out words and now Ava sings B-E-L-L-A! BELLA! to everyone. They are quite impressed though she has no idea what she's doing.

Love the Hulk hat. Your family has a thing with odd hat wear...

We've got a couple of kids like this. The oldest is 15 and quite a handful, the youngest is 8 going on 30.

Yes my kitty's name is Tallulah, dancing water fits her personality and look just perfectly!

Wow... I'm impressed. I didn't know how to spell dumbass until I was 6. I lead a very sheltered life.

Actually, I grew up in a DINKY town north of Boise in the late 60s and early 70s. I had never even heard the term "gay" and had no idea what it was until I moved to Boise in 1974 when I was 18.

Hey Tallulah, I didn't know you made soap! That stuff is awesome! I tried it a couple of years ago but wasn't very good at it. I have a few scents left over that I bought on the internet if you want them. Coconut lemongrass is one - YUM!

Um, I'm rambling aren't I...

Hey there rambler! I would love for you to pass along the scents to me. Thank you!
Geez! You were six before spelling dumbass? I guess some people are naturally slow. Ha ha!
