CAMPING

I used to love camping. Really, I did. I'm not a snob about if I have a shower or not, or where I pee or if I have hot dogs and beans for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No.....really.

Then we had kids and things changed. I'm a cook, maid and mediator full-time at least five days a week. On weekends, I want just a little bit of a break.

So when Bubby suggested we buy the tent as large as a condominium and invest thousands of dollars in camping equipment so we could have "some family bonding time" on long weekends, I was reluctant. Okay......terrified. But after much poking and prodding, I agreed.

It was the best! Bubby was right. (God I hate saying that)

Here are some photos of our weekend. I can't tell you how much joy it gave me to see my family having so much fun!

Bonding time for Leroy and Papa!

A nineteen inch brown trout! (Christian's second fish he has ever caught)

There's nothing better than roasted corn......

Except maybe smores!

Way fun! Love the corn on the cob pic.

So do you cook or do the instant meals with water you heat over a portable stove? *gag*

Jenn-We cook the meals. I'm a food snob. I wish I wasn't. It's more work.
