We rarely have beef (maybe twice a year) and that's also how often I prepare a"meat & potatoes" type dinner.
Last night I surprised the gang with meat loaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and salad.
At dinner Christian was remarking at how good the "Truck Stop Food" was.
Bubby: "Yum. This is really good. What kind of meat did you use?"
Me: "99% fat-free ground turkey & a little bit of ground pork for flavor."
Bubby: "I wonder what it would be like with lamb?"
Me: "Strong."
Bubby: "I was thinking you could use ground chicken and a little bit of ground lamb. You could call it "CLUCK-EWE MEATLOAF!"
Wow. The man is always thinking........

I love "sounds like" quotes. One of my favorites is "BROWN-CHICK-EN BROWN-COW"
What would we have to blog about if it weren't for our husbands and kids!
Bubby is very Jack Handey-ish.
“It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.”
I love that one too, Boise!
I would love it if you would post some meal ideas....it is so easy to get stuck in the meat and potatoes rut! I am a friend of Jodi's by the way!
