MANNERS

On three different occasions while eating out on vacation, we had couples actually stop and comment to us on how well-behaved our children were in a restaurant. They were elderly couples. The kind that were taught that children were to be seen and not heard and if you made a ruckus in public, Dad was going to beat your ass with a belt in the bathroom.

I thought to myself, "Are those senior citizens high on crack?"

But after looking around at other children in restaurants and other public places....I realized that they are a pretty good bunch of kids.

Although we did have to super-glue a fork in Leroy's mouth to keep him quiet.
(Okay...I know I dress my kids the same whenever we are in public. Call it a sickness for never having enough matching Hanna Andersson t-shirts. Whatever. It really is a safety thing. If you have more than two kids, I suggest you try it. Especially when you are searching in large crowds for a wee one or on the beach when the surf is crashing in.)

I never thought about it but for family outings etc you are very right!

Oh and you all are really cute... love the fork! Looks like fun!

It makes me feel good when 1 out of 10 times my children behave in public.

Love the family dress code but is Tori protesting yet? Seeing how she's a tween and all...

Jenn-Tori doesn't protest. She doesn't care what she's wearing or even if her outfit matches. Orange skirt with plaid green top and black tights...she could care less! Christian on the other hand rolls his eyes every time I make them dress the same. Oh well. He's gotten used to it!

I KNOW I TOOK THE PICTURE, BUT WHERE IS IZZY? DID I MISS HIM SOMEWHERE?

Dear Anonymous, Izzy? Izzy who? I was probably in denial that the child existed that day.
Oh, I was mistaken! He's next to me hiding under something. He would claim of course that it was magic and his real name is Chris Angel.

ROTFL I was wondering the same thing then though... maybe he took the picture! Izzy seems like the kind of kid that would jump up and start snapping picts and do it well! LOL
