I love Easter. My friend The Anaylyzer thinks I'm crazy because we are not religious but we celebrate Easter. Yes, I know I'm a hypocrite.
I call it a celebration for the promise of Spring. It's also a great excuse to have the Easter bunny visit your house and hide Easter eggs and leave you lots and lots of chocolate.
Every year there is an Easter event here Way Down In Mayberry. Tons of parents and their children show up in little Easter outfits to hunt for eggs and play games. When I mean "little Easter outfits", that also includes the Mom's....emphasis on little coverage. Bubby comes for the entertainment. He downs a gin martini before we leave and doesn't stop drinking until we come home. Most events Way Down In Mayberry can be a blast for people watching. This year Bubby came up with a new slogan to put on a sign down at the General Store:
ATTENTION!
LESS LIPOSUCTION
MORE PARENTING
Here is a picture of the boys. Can you see that Christian is thrilled that I match them in outfits. Hee hee. I love driving him crazy!
Will Leroy ever stop with the thumbs-up in pictures? Probably not.
The best part about the day was Izzy over-dosing on sugar. At first, he was on glucose high. This enabled him to do really well in the bunny hop race.
By the time we got to the egg toss, Izzy was nearly in a coma. All he could do was stare and hope the egg landed gently in his lap. And the egg did, for the first 22 times. The last toss, Izzy didn't even raise up his hands to catch the egg. The egg squarely smacked him in the middle of his forehead.Yep. That's egg white running down Izzy's nose and in to his mouth.
We also visited family and rejoiced with food and games. Tori & Uncle V
Some of my crazy family. I don't know why Me-Ma is taking off my Niece's shirt, but she doesn't seem to mind. A fun weekend for all.

You have some of the prettiest kids I have ever seen, do you know that? I love Easter also... and it is a lot of fun with kids. Baby J this year kept hiding and unhiding her eggs. I finally had to put my foot down and hide them myself from her! LOL
Great pics....and what's really creepy is your relative who you call Me-Ma because I worked with a woman whose grandkids called her Me-Ma too. I guess it's more common than we thought!
ME-MA WAS TRYING TO SHOW EVERYONE THAT HER GRANDDAUGHTER WHO HAD JUST RETURNED FROM CANCUN HAD NO TAN LINES.
haaahaha....MeMa is like my Gma.
I love that the boys are all in the same shirts! Is that a Mayberry thing or do you just like to torture your children while entertaining yourself?
Great example of Easter candy highs and lows. This is candy. This is your kid on candy. Any questions?
T-girl - I cannot take any credit for my beautiful adopted kids...other than we only adopt pretty ones...hee hee.
Just a Girl - We got the name MeMa from a hilarious movie called "Pecker". The grandma in the film is a crazy woman who has a Mother Mary puppet talk to her. Since my mother is crazy....well..um...enough said.
MeMa- Don't read above comment.
Jenn-I always dress the kids the same. Especially when there are a lot of people around or we are on vacation. It the only way I can keep an eye on all of them. If one gets lost, I can tell the police, "he was dressed just like THIS!"
Brilliant.
I READ THE COMMENT-------AND YOU WANT WHO TO BABYSIT???? LOL
Awww, you have beautiful children Tallulah...and Izzy, he's got overload of charm!
