THE BED

Bubby is a die-hard romantic. We had a mammoth king-sized bed and he felt that there was just too much space between us. There was little cuddling time. Bubby likes to cuddle.

We made a deal (because I really love the king-size bed). The next time we purchased a mattress, we would buy a queen mattress.....as long as it was really, really tall. That day, somewhat reluctantly arrived.

Have you ever read The Princess and the Pea? I feel like the Princess sleeping on top of mattress after mattress. It's a good thing. This mattress is the top of the line with memory foam, pillow-top and all the bed goodies. In fact, I would stay in it all day and read if I could. It is very lovely(and we do get some much needed extra cuddling).

One problem...............................

Izzy is still waking up and coming in to our bed maybe 3 times a week. It's incredibly cramped when you add a third to the mix. The following conversation occurred last week:

Me: "Bubby, what are you smirking about?"
Bubby: "I had a nightmare last night. People were torturing and violating me. I couldn't wake up."
Me: "Oh?"
Bubby: "When I woke up.....Izzy's foot was in my ass."

If that's not enough to brighten your day, nothing will.

LOL. I had to laugh. I have Full-sized bed and a twin bed in my room. No wonder DH ends up in closet mattress or the other bed when the kids crawls in our bed. I guess size matters huH?
